About Waldo's

Waldo's Imaging has printed for Calgary since 1998. Everything from business cards and forms to engineering drawing sets, signs and garments is produced and finished in our own shop, for businesses and people across Alberta.

We see ourselves as one small part of a very long tradition, and we keep that tradition going with modern equipment and careful hands, from a single print to a full storefront.

Woodblocks
Whole pages carved into wood and pressed onto paper in China. Movable clay type follows by the 9th century.
1455
Gutenberg's press
Movable metal type makes printing fast and affordable. The Gutenberg Bible starts the age of mass print.
1800s
Steam and rotary
Steam power and the rotary press print continuously, and lithography brings colour graphics to the page.
1900s
Digital presses
Digital printing does away with plates, so short runs and custom jobs become quick and affordable.
